LabNet list aims to provide a platform to exchange information and discuss developments in the field of global labour history. LabNet list is open to scholars around the world and to all who want to exchange news and information on global labour and working-class history, and participate in academic discussions of topical issues in this field.
Subscribers can send information, such as announcements and calls for papers, to be published on the list on upcoming conferences, and other sorts of scholarly gatherings, exhibitions, and research and publication projects, and can also post research questions. In cooperation with other news and discussion services in the field, such as the services provided H-Net, Clio-online, EH-Net and others, messages are shared and cross-posted to ensure optimum coverage of the news and information relevant to the field of global labour history. The LabNet list editors also aim to stimulate academic debate within the broader field of labour and working-class history by commissioning position papers, book reviews, review symposia, etc., and organize online debates about topical issues.
Labnet list is a moderated list. Messages sent to the list are received by the moderator who is responsible for safeguarding the character and mission of the list.
