Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung -- Library Recently the archive and library of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung have published two titles concerning the International and European labour movement: The first publication presents comprehensive information on the IUF (International Union of Food, Agricultural, Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers' Associations) and its predecessors: a brief history of the IUF, an interview with Dan Gallin (General Secretary of the IUF 1968-97) and an inventory of records and reports of the IUF and its predecessors in the library of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. Readers will get an impression of the complexities of organisational developments of International Trade Secretariats (ITS) in the case of IUF, which represents some 2.5 million members in 340 trade unions and 119 countries. Faced with globalisation and advancing European integration European trade union politics and activities will meet a broader public interest. The inventory of the archive and library of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung presents a summary of a broad range of publications and documents of European trade union organisations held by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
